Description

The Auditorium on Division Street between State Street and the Battle Creek River was built in 1891 by the German Workingmen's Benevolent Association for its own meetings and for rentals. Bernice Bryant Lowe writes in "Tales of Battle Creek" that Germania Band, also called Germania Orchestra, and Humphrey and Evans Orchestra performed there. Heffley Plumbing Co Bought The Auditorium in 1930, and the building burned in 1931.
