Caption on back: FEDERAL CENTER, BATTLE CREEK, MICHIGAN - The present structure was first the Battle Creek Sanitarium, where W.K. Kellogg worked for 26 years before becoming famous for breakfast cereal. Purchased in 1942 by the U.S. Army, it became the Percy Jones General Hospital. In 1954 the building became the Battle Creek Federal Center.
