Postcard showing a photo of Rudolph Valentino in Arabian dress riding a gray Arabian horse, c. 1926. In 1925 W. K. Kellogg established an Arabian horse ranch in Pomona, California. In 1949, he deeded the 813 acre ranch to the University of California and it became the California State Polytechnic College, Kellogg Unit. Kellogg deeded the land on the condition that Sunday horse shows continue as a tradition at the college.
